The Role

ITJobs.lk is searching for an experienced and visionary Tech Lead to spearhead the development of cutting-edge Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions for a premier IT firm based in Colombo.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture, design, and development of new features and modules for the core ERP platform.
  • Provide technical leadership, code reviews, and mentorship to junior and mid-level developers, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
  • Drive the full-stack development using Python (for backend logic/APIs), Node.js (for supporting services), and React (for intuitive front-end user interfaces).
  • Ensure the scalability, performance, and security of the ERP system.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand complex ERP requirements (e.g., Finance, Inventory, HR) and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Manage deployment pipelines in a continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) environment.

Must-Have Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum of 6+ years of experience in software development, with at least 2 years in a Senior Developer or Tech Lead capacity.
  • Expertise in Python (frameworks like Django/Flask) for building scalable backend applications.
  • Proficiency in modern front-end development using React and related ecosystem libraries.
  • Experience with Node.js and Express.js for various service integrations is a strong advantage.
  • Deep understanding of database design (SQL/NoSQL) and optimization.
  • Prior experience developing or customizing ERP, CRM, or large-scale enterprise applications is mandatory.
  • Proven ability to lead technical projects, manage scope, and make critical architectural decisions.
