Location: 100% Remote (Sri Lanka Based)

Type: Full-Time, 6-Month Contract (Renewable)

Client: Australian-Based Firm

 

Role Overview: We are seeking a highly analytical and curious Trainee Business Analyst to join our product strategy team. This is a unique opportunity for a recent graduate or an aspiring BA to work directly with an Australian client, focusing on market intelligence and product innovation within the AU and USA markets.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market & Competitor Research: Conduct deep-dive research into similar products and competitors within the Australian and US markets.

  • Gap Analysis: Analyze competitor features and performance to identify gaps in our current product offerings.

  • Strategic Recommendations: Suggest data-driven improvements to existing products to enhance user experience and market competitiveness.

  • Feature Development: Collaborate with the product team to recommend and define new feature developments based on your research findings.

  • Reporting: Create detailed reports and presentations for Australian stakeholders to justify product pivots or new feature implementations.

 

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Analytical Mindset: Exceptional research and analytical skills; you should enjoy “connecting the dots” between market trends and product features.

  • Communication Excellence: Superior English communication skills (written and verbal) are mandatory for collaborating with international teams.

  • Presentation Skills: Ability to transform complex data into clear, persuasive presentations.

  • Academic Background: A degree in Business Management, IT, Economics, or a related field.

  • Proactive Attitude: A self-starter who can work independently in a remote setting and meet deadlines.
