Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented QA Engineer/ Associate QA Engineer to join a fast-growing Australian-based company. This is a 100% remote position based in Sri Lanka, offering the chance to work within a global engineering team. While the role focuses heavily on Manual Testing, you will also contribute to and expand our Automation frameworks.
As you will be collaborating directly with international stakeholders, excellent English communication skills and the ability to align with Australian timezones when required are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive Manual Testing (Functional, Regression, and Smoke testing) for web and mobile applications.
- Identify, document, and track software defects using tools like Jira.
- Develop and execute test cases based on business requirements and technical specifications.
- Assist in maintaining and running Automation scripts to improve testing efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with developers and product managers in Australia to ensure high-quality releases.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of professional experience in Software Quality Assurance
- Testing Skills: Strong foundation in Manual Testing methodologies with exposure to Automation Testing (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written English skills are mandatory for direct client interaction.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of the SDLC/STLC and Agile methodologies.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work on Australian business hours (AEST/AEDT) for team syncs and stand-ups as needed.
