About the Opportunity:
Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for building next-generation financial technologies? One of Sri Lanka’s leading FinTech firms based in Colombo is seeking an ambitious and structured Product Owner to drive product innovation and execute a cutting-edge software development roadmap.
Operating in an agile environment, you will bridge the gap between business strategy and engineering delivery. This role begins as a 1-year contract with clear options for renewal, offering an exceptional space to grow your product management career in a booming market.
Key Responsibilities:

Define product vision, strategies, and roadmaps in close alignment with key business stakeholders and senior leadership.

Own, prioritize, and manage the product backlog, ensuring the engineering team has clear, well-defined user stories and acceptance criteria.

Collaborate daily with UI/UX designers, developers, and QA engineers in Scrum/Agile workflows to ensure high-quality product delivery.

Act as the primary point of contact to clarify product requirements, resolve blockers, and manage cross-functional dependencies.

Define and analyze product success metrics, gathering continuous feedback from market trends and users to iterate on product performance.
Requirements & Skills:

Experience: Minimum of 2–4 years of proven experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or Product Manager, ideally within a FinTech, banking, or fast-paced software development environment.

Agile Expertise: Solid understanding of Agile methodologies, Scrum frameworks, and product management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).

Technical Savvy: Strong ability to translate complex financial business logic into explicit technical specifications.

Communication: Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills, alongside strong interpersonal and stakeholder management capabilities.

Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical skills with a proactive, data-driven approach to tracking milestones and de-risking delivery cycles.

Academic Background: A Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Management, or a related field. Professional certifications (such as CSPO or PSPO) are highly advantageous.
