The Opportunity
An innovative, Australia-based client in the FinTech sector is seeking a highly skilled Part-Time Remote Web Developer to join their project team for a 10-month engagement. This role is perfect for a talented professional who seamlessly blends strong front-end development with a keen eye for graphics and user-centric design.
You will be responsible for translating high-level design concepts into pixel-perfect, secure, and responsive web applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Development: Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code for the front-end interface, ensuring cross-browser and responsive compatibility.
- Graphics & Design: Implement, optimize, and occasionally create digital graphics, assets, and layouts, maintaining brand consistency and high visual quality.
- UI/UX Implementation: Work closely with the core team to ensure all features are developed according to specified User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) designs.
- Maintenance & Testing: Perform rigorous testing and debugging of the code to ensure functionality and security standards are met.
Technical Skills Required
- Core Languages: Mastery of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+).
- Design Tools: Proficiency with graphic design software for asset handling and optimization (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or Figma/Sketch).
- Frameworks: Solid experience with a modern front-end framework/library (React, Vue.js, or Angular).
- Responsive Design: Expert knowledge of responsive design principles (e.g., Flexbox, Grid) and implementation.
- Version Control: Strong command of Git for collaborative development.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience (2+ years) as a Web Developer, with a demonstrated portfolio showcasing design integration skills.
- Ability to manage a part-time schedule (approx. 20 hours/week) effectively and meet deadlines remotely.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English for seamless collaboration with the Australian team.
- High level of attention to detail and a commitment to secure coding practices.
