This is a Full-Time, Hybrid role, initially offered as a 12-month contract with a strong possibility of renewal or permanency based on performance and project evolution. The Role

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in the product development lifecycle. You will collaborate with stakeholders, product owners, and engineering teams to transform business visions into functional, scalable financial solutions.

  • Employment Type: 12-Month Contract (Renewable)

  • Work Model: Hybrid (Office in Colombo)

  • Sector: Fintech / Digital Banking

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Requirement Engineering: Lead the elicitation, analysis, and documentation of complex business requirements for fintech products (Payments, Lending, or Wallets).

  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary interface between business leaders and the technical development team.

  • Process Mapping: Design and optimize “As-Is” and “To-Be” business processes to improve operational efficiency and user experience.

  • Product Roadmap: Assist Product Managers in prioritizing backlogs and defining Sprint goals in an Agile environment.

  • Solution Validation: Work closely with the QA team to ensure developed features meet business objectives and regulatory compliance standards.

  • Documentation: Create high-quality User Stories, BRDs, FRS, and Wireframes.

 

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 4–6 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within the Fintech, Banking, or Insurance domains.

  • Technical Savvy: Strong understanding of APIs, Microservices, and Cloud-native applications.

  • Methodologies: Expert knowledge of Agile/Scrum frameworks and proficiency in tools like Jira and Confluence.

  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written English skills, with the ability to present complex data to senior management.

  • Analytical Mindset: Proven ability to solve complex problems and make data-driven decisions.

  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Computer Science, or a related field. Professional certifications (CBAP, PMI-PBA) are a major plus.
