About the Role

ITJobs.lk is seeking a skilled and passionate Software Engineer (Frontend – React) on behalf of our client—a leading technology enterprise headquartered in the USA with a thriving engineering hub in Colombo. This is a full-time, 1-year contract position with a strong option for renewal.

In this role, you will collaborate directly with international teams across the US to design and develop responsive, high-performance web applications using modern React workflows, turning complex requirements into clean, scalable user interfaces.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Build reusable, scalable, and modular frontend components using React.js for enterprise-grade applications.

  • Translate design concepts and wireframes into high-quality, pixel-perfect user interfaces.

  • Optimize web application performance and cross-browser compatibility.

  • Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers, backend engineers, and US-based product stakeholders to integrate RESTful APIs and modern frontend architectures.

  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code adhering to global engineering standards.

 

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience: Proven hands-on experience as a Frontend Engineer or Software Engineer specializing in React.js.

  • Core Skills: Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern state management libraries.

  • API Integration: Hands-on experience integrating with RESTful APIs or GraphQL endpoints.

  • Collaboration: Experience working in agile development teams, with prior exposure to international stakeholders being a distinct advantage.

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.

  • Work Setup: Ability to work in a hybrid environment out of Colombo, Sri Lanka.
