About the Role

We are looking for a high-performing Senior Software Engineer (Java & Angular) to join an innovative tech team in Colombo. This is a 1-year renewable contract offering a hybrid working model. In this role, you will be responsible for end-to-end web application development, pairing robust Java backends with dynamic Angular frontends to build scalable, enterprise-grade solutions.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain full-stack web applications using Java (Spring Boot) and Angular.

  • Build responsive, modular, and high-performance user interfaces in Angular.

  • Develop robust RESTful APIs and integrate complex backend services.

  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following best software engineering practices.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, UI/UX designers, and QA engineers in an Agile environment.

 

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 3+ years of commercial software development experience with Java and Angular.

  • Backend: Hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle).

  • Frontend: Strong proficiency in Angular (TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, RxJS, and State Management).

  • Tools & Practices: Experience with Git, REST APIs, Maven/Gradle, and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with a proactive mindset.
