About the Role
A growing, local IT firm based in Colombo is seeking a proactive DevOps Engineer to join their infrastructure and engineering team on a full-time, hybrid basis.
In this role, you will be responsible for automating, optimizing, and maintaining continuous delivery pipelines, managing cloud infrastructure, and ensuring maximum uptime, security, and scalability for client-facing software applications.
Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to ensure automated and reliable software deployments.

Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure across major platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Implement containerization and orchestration solutions using Docker and Kubernetes.

Monitor system performance, application availability, and infrastructure security using modern logging and monitoring tools.

Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible.

Collaborate closely with software development and QA teams to improve developer experience and deployment frequency.
Required Qualifications & Skills

Experience: Minimum 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in a DevOps, SysAdmin, or Cloud Engineering role.

Cloud Platforms: Practical experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

CI/CD Tools: Strong expertise in tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Bitbucket Pipelines.

Containerization: Proficiency with Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Knowledge of Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.

Scripting: Hands-on experience with Python, Bash, or Shell scripting for task automation.

Linux/Networking: Solid understanding of Linux system administration, networking protocols, and security practices.
