About the Role

Kangaro Tech is looking for a motivated Next.js Developer to join our development team and work on modern SaaS, business management, and AI-powered web applications.

The ideal candidate should have at least 1 year of practical experience working with Next.js and should be comfortable building real-world, production-ready web applications. Freelance and project-based experience is also considered, provided the candidate can demonstrate strong practical knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain modern web applications using Next.js
  • Build responsive and reusable frontend components
  • Work with React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
  • Develop and integrate REST APIs
  • Work with backend technologies such as Node.js / Express.js
  • Integrate and manage databases such as PostgreSQL / MySQL
  • Implement authentication, authorization, and role-based access control
  • Debug issues and fix application bugs
  • Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Backend Developers, QA Engineers, and other team members
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and ongoing product improvements
  • Follow Git-based development workflows and team coding standards

Required Skills

  • 1+ year of hands-on experience with Next.js
  • Strong knowledge of React
  • Good understanding of JavaScript / TypeScript
  • Experience with Next.js App Router
  • Knowledge of API integration and REST APIs
  • Experience with Node.js / Express.js or similar backend technologies
  • Understanding of databases and SQL
  • Good knowledge of Git and GitHub/GitLab
  • Understanding of responsive web development
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems independently
  • Ability to work with an existing codebase and follow established project requirements

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Prisma ORM
  • Experience with PostgreSQL / Supabase
  • Experience with Docker
  • Familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms
  • Knowledge of CI/CD practices
  • Experience developing SaaS or enterprise applications
  • Understanding of software architecture and SOLID / OOP principles
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment

What We Expect

We are looking for developers who have real hands-on development experience, not only theoretical knowledge or AI-generated code.

Candidates should be able to:

  • Explain their previous projects and technical decisions
  • Understand existing requirements and implement features accordingly
  • Debug and fix issues independently
  • Write and understand the code they submit
  • Work effectively with a development and QA team
  • Take ownership of assigned tasks and meet agreed deadlines

Application

Please submit your CV along with links to your GitHub profile, portfolio, and relevant projects.

Candidates may be asked to complete a technical interview and practical assessment as part of the selection process.
