About the Role

ITJobs.lk is seeking a talented and innovative AI/ML Engineer on behalf of one of Sri Lanka’s premier IT firms.

In this role, you will design, build, and deploy machine learning models and artificial intelligence solutions that solve complex business problems. Operating in a flexible hybrid setup out of Colombo, you will work alongside experienced software engineering teams to turn data into impactful intelligence.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy production-ready Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and AI models.

  • Preprocess, analyze, and pipeline structured and unstructured data for model training and evaluation.

  • Collaborate with software engineering and DevOps teams to integrate ML models into core application pipelines.

  • Fine-tune, evaluate, and optimize existing algorithms to ensure high performance, accuracy, and scalability.

  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in AI frameworks, tools, and industry best practices.

 

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in developing and deploying AI/ML models in a professional environment.

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline.

  • Technical Proficiency: Strong programming skills in Python or R, along with experience using key ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, etc.).

  • Data & Cloud: Practical knowledge of data manipulation (Pandas, NumPy), SQL/NoSQL databases, and cloud-based AI services (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

  • Skills: Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.

  • Communication: Strong problem-solving abilities and clear English communication skills.
