About the Opportunity

We are seeking a passionate, tech-savvy, and forward-thinking Intern – AI Developer / Engineer on behalf of our client, a dynamic and growing IT firm based in Australia.

This is a full-time, fully remote internship for a minimum duration of 6 months. For the right candidate who demonstrates high capability, dedication, and alignment with the team, this role offers a strong potential to transition into permanent, long-term employment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design, development, and deployment of AI/ML models and algorithms.

  • Collaborate with the Australian development team to integrate AI functionalities into existing applications.

  • Clean, preprocess, and analyze datasets for model training.

  • Conduct research on the latest AI tools, frameworks, and best practices to optimize performance.

  • Participate in code reviews and team sprints in an agile remote environment.

 

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Essential: Proven experience conducting AI, Machine Learning, or Data Science projects during your university studies (please highlight these in your CV or portfolio).

  • Strong programming skills in Python (knowledge of R or C++ is a plus).

  • Familiarity with frameworks/libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn, or experience working with modern LLM APIs.

  • Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.

  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote setup.

  • Fluent verbal and written English communication skills.
