Position Overview

ITJobs.lk is excited to partner with a leading, fast-growing FinTech firm based in Singapore to find a high-caliber Senior Software Engineer (PHP & Laravel). This is a fully remote, full-time position allowing you to work from home in Sri Lanka while earning in Singapore Dollars (SGD).

Key Responsibilities

  • Application Development: Core design, development, and maintenance of robust, scalable, and secure financial platforms using PHP and Laravel.

  • Architecture & Optimization: Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code while optimizing application speed, security, and scalability.

  • API Integration: Develop and integrate complex third-party APIs and payment gateways essential for FinTech operations.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional product and engineering teams in Singapore to align on technical requirements and deliver sprints on time.

  • Code Review: Participate in peer code reviews to maintain high code quality standards and mentor junior developers when necessary.

 

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Framework Expertise: Minimum of 4 years of solid, hands-on professional experience working with PHP and the Laravel framework at a senior level.

  • Database & Architecture: Deep understanding of relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL), OOP principles, MVC architecture, and design patterns.

  • FinTech Domain: Prior experience working within the FinTech, E-commerce, or Digital Payments domain is considered an added advantage.

  • Timezone Availability: Ability to work full-time aligned with the Singapore Timezone (SGT).

  • Soft Skills: Excellent command of English (both written and verbal) with the ability to collaborate effectively in a fully remote team environment.
