About the Role
Kangaro Tech is looking for a motivated Next.js Developer to join our development team and work on modern SaaS, business management, and AI-powered web applications.
The ideal candidate should have at least 1 year of practical experience working with Next.js and should be comfortable building real-world, production-ready web applications. Freelance and project-based experience is also considered, provided the candidate can demonstrate strong practical knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain modern web applications using Next.js
- Build responsive and reusable frontend components
- Work with React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Develop and integrate REST APIs
- Work with backend technologies such as Node.js / Express.js
- Integrate and manage databases such as PostgreSQL / MySQL
- Implement authentication, authorization, and role-based access control
- Debug issues and fix application bugs
- Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Backend Developers, QA Engineers, and other team members
- Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and ongoing product improvements
- Follow Git-based development workflows and team coding standards
Required Skills
- 1+ year of hands-on experience with Next.js
- Strong knowledge of React
- Good understanding of JavaScript / TypeScript
- Experience with Next.js App Router
- Knowledge of API integration and REST APIs
- Experience with Node.js / Express.js or similar backend technologies
- Understanding of databases and SQL
- Good knowledge of Git and GitHub/GitLab
- Understanding of responsive web development
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems independently
- Ability to work with an existing codebase and follow established project requirements
Nice to Have
- Experience with Prisma ORM
- Experience with PostgreSQL / Supabase
- Experience with Docker
- Familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms
- Knowledge of CI/CD practices
- Experience developing SaaS or enterprise applications
- Understanding of software architecture and SOLID / OOP principles
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment
