The Role

As an AI Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying cutting-edge machine learning models and AI-driven solutions. You will work within a high-performing team to integrate AI capabilities into enterprise-level products, ensuring scalability, accuracy, and efficiency.

  • Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

  • Work Model: Hybrid (Colombo)

  • Tech Focus: Python, LLMs, Computer Vision, and Predictive Analytics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Model Development: Design and implement robust machine learning models using Python and modern AI frameworks.

  • Architecture: Build and maintain scalable AI pipelines, from data ingestion and preprocessing to model deployment and monitoring.

  • R&D: Stay at the forefront of AI research, experimenting with Generative AI (LLMs), NLP, or Computer Vision to drive product innovation.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with Data Engineers and Software Architects to integrate AI models into production environments.

  • Optimization: Fine-tune models for performance, ensuring low latency and high reliability in real-world applications.

 

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of professional experience in Software Engineering with a heavy focus on AI/Machine Learning.

  • Python Mastery: Advanced proficiency in Python and its ecosystem (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn).

  • AI Frameworks: Deep hands-on experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Keras.

  • Modern AI: Proven experience working with Large Language Models (LLMs), Prompt Engineering, and frameworks like LangChain or LlamaIndex.

  • Cloud & DevOps: Familiarity with deploying AI models on cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and using Docker/Kubernetes.

  • Mathematical Foundation: Strong understanding of statistics, linear algebra, and calculus as applied to Machine Learning.

  • Communication: Excellent English communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
