ITJobs.lk is proud to partner with a leading IT Firm in Colombo that is at the forefront of digital infrastructure and cloud innovation. We are looking for a seasoned Senior DevOps Engineer to join their high-performing engineering team.
This is a Full-Time, Hybrid position based in Colombo, offered as a 12-month contract with a high possibility of renewal based on performance and project roadmap. The Role
As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be the backbone of the CI/CD ecosystem. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing automated infrastructure while ensuring the security, scalability, and reliability of the firm’s cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

CI/CD Automation: Design, build, and maintain robust automated deployment pipelines for complex microservices architectures.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Manage and scale cloud infrastructure using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.

Containerization: Orchestrate and manage containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes (K8s).

Cloud Management: Oversee multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP), optimizing for both performance and cost.

Monitoring & Security: Implement advanced logging, monitoring, and alerting systems (ELK, Prometheus, Grafana) and ensure “Security-by-Design” in all pipelines.

Mentorship: Provide technical leadership to junior engineers and collaborate with development teams to improve deployment frequency and quality.
Requirements

Experience: Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineering.

Technical Stack: Deep expertise in Linux administration and scripting (Python, Bash, or Go).

Tools: Advanced proficiency in Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.

Orchestration: Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes (EKS/AKS/GKE) and Helm charts.

IaC Skills: Proven track record of managing production environments using Terraform.

Communication: Excellent English communication skills, with the ability to navigate a fast-paced corporate environment.

Certification: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator) is a significant advantage.
