About the Role

We are seeking a high-caliber Data Analyst – Power BI to design, build, and maintain enterprise-level analytics solutions for a fast-growing US-based Fintech firm. This is a 100% remote, full-time position operating on US business hours for candidates based in Sri Lanka.

In this role, you will transform complex financial data into actionable, high-impact business insights. You will be responsible for building advanced Power BI dashboards, executing complex SQL data queries, and collaborating directly with US leadership to drive data-informed decision-making across fintech operations.

Key Responsibilities

• BI Dashboard Architecture & Design: Develop, publish, and manage interactive, scalable dashboards and reports using Power BI Desktop and Power BI Cloud services.

• Data Querying & Modeling: Write complex SQL scripts, extract/transform financial datasets, and build efficient data models for business intelligence reporting.

• Fintech Domain Analytics: Analyze key financial metrics, transaction trends, risk indicators, and performance KPIs tailored to fintech operations.

• Stakeholder Engagement: Interface directly with US business leads and product stakeholders to translate requirements into intuitive analytical reporting.

• Data Governance & Performance: Optimize report rendering times, maintain data integrity, and ensure strict compliance with data security standards.

Qualifications & Key Requirements

• Power BI Expertise: Minimum 2+ years of hands-on, commercial industrial-level experience with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Cloud.

• SQL Proficiency: Strong experience in writing advanced SQL queries, stored procedures, joins, and data manipulation.

• Fintech Experience: Direct domain experience in Fintech, Banking, Financial Services, or Payment Systems is required.

• US Market Exposure: Prior experience working with US-based clients or US companies is a distinct added advantage.

• Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills for direct US stakeholder collaboration.

• Timezone Alignment & Setup: Full commitment to working US business hours from Sri Lanka, backed by a reliable remote work setup (high-speed internet and power backup).
