About the Role:
We are seeking motivated undergraduates or recent graduates who are serious about building a strong foundation in full stack software engineering. This internship offers hands-on experience working on real-world web applications within a structured and performance-driven environment. Interns will contribute to live systems, collaborate with the team, and gain exposure to production-level development practices.
Location: Colombo, Sri Lanka
Contract Duration: 6 Months
Work Arrangement: On-site
Access to a reliable personal laptop suitable for development work is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain PHP-based web applications
- Design, query, and optimize MySQL databases
- Build and integrate RESTful APIs
- Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms
- Create responsive user interfaces using HTML and Tailwind CSS
- Use Git for version control and team collaboration
- Work in Linux-based development environments
- Participate in testing, debugging, and code reviews
Requirements:
- Hands-on experience with PHP, MySQL, HTML, and Tailwind CSS
- Understanding of REST APIs and authentication concepts
- Basic knowledge of database design principles
- Familiarity with Git and version control workflows
- Basic knowledge of Linux environments
- Strong communication skills in English
- Eagerness to learn, adapt, and grow in a startup setting
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to the full 6-month contract
Good To Have:
- Experience with Firebase or Supabase
- Exposure to serverless functions
- Basic understanding of SaaS architecture or cloud-based systems
