About the Role
ITJobs.lk is seeking an organized, proactive Associate Project Manager on behalf of a prominent IT enterprise in Colombo. This is a 3-to-6-month full-time contract role with an immediate start.
In this position, you will work closely with cross-functional software engineering teams in an Agile delivery environment to plan, track, and deliver high-quality software projects. You will be responsible for keeping projects on schedule, managing sprint activities, and maintaining active alignment across internal teams and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities

Coordinate software development project lifecycles from sprint planning to deployment and release.

Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog refinement sessions within an Agile environment.

Work with technical teams and product owners to break down deliverables, manage task timelines, and mitigate risks.

Serve as a primary point of contact for project updates, ensuring clear, consistent project visibility.

Track project scope, milestones, and resource allocation to ensure on-time delivery.
Qualifications & Requirements

Experience: Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in IT/Software Project Management.

Background Preference: Prior working experience as a Business Analyst (BA) is highly preferred.

Agile Expertise: Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum environments for software development projects.

Communication: Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills.

Client Engagement: Direct experience managing or communicating with international clients is a major advantage.

Location: Ability to work full-time onsite or Hybrid mode in Colombo, Sri Lanka for the 3–6 month contract duration.
