About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Freelance Mobile Developer based in Sri Lanka to partner with a leading IT firm in Australia. This is a fully remote position offering flexible working hours, paid on a project-by-project basis.

In this role, you will design, build, and optimize high-performance cross-platform mobile applications for iOS and Android. You will have full flexibility over your working schedule, provided project deliverables and client milestones are strictly met.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and maintain responsive cross-platform mobile applications using Flutter and React Native.

  • Build reusable, clean, and well-documented components across mobile codebases.

  • Integrate RESTful APIs, WebSockets, and third-party SDKs (payment gateways, analytics, push notifications).

  • Translate UI/UX designs and wireframes into smooth, pixel-perfect mobile interfaces.

  • Optimize app performance, memory usage, and load times across various devices and screen sizes.

  • Debug, troubleshoot, and fix software defects identified during QA testing or production deployment.

  • Work independently to deliver assigned project modules within agreed deadlines.

 

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Location: Must be based in Sri Lanka.

  • Core Mobile Expertise:

    • Advanced proficiency in Flutter (Dart, state management like Provider, Bloc, or Riverpod).

    • Advanced proficiency in React Native (JavaScript/TypeScript, Redux, Context API, React Navigation).

  • Cross-Platform Delivery: Proven track record of publishing apps to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

  • Backend & API Integration: Solid understanding of REST APIs, JSON parsing, Firebase, and native mobile integrations.

  • Work Ethic & Flexibility: Ability to manage time independently, handle project-based workloads, and meet client deadlines reliably.

  • Language & Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills in English to coordinate with Australian project managers.

  • Education: Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical industry portfolio.
