Are you ready to play a foundational role in a major Core Banking Digital Transformation?

We are seeking a dynamic Project Manager to join a leading financial institution in Colombo as they embark on an ambitious journey to modernize their ecosystem.

This role is ideal for a professional who thrives in early-stage transformation environments where ecosystem readiness and vendor enablement are top priorities.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transformation Readiness: Study and operationalize existing gap assessments to define target-state operating models.

  • Vendor Coordination: Support RFP leadership, vendor capability assessments, and the onboarding of strategic partners into the delivery pipeline.

  • Agile Delivery: Introduce and facilitate Agile and hybrid delivery frameworks, ensuring absolute clarity for epics, features, and user stories.

  • Bridging Legacy & Digital: Act as a change ambassador, translating legacy banking processes into modern digital practices.

  • Risk & Governance: Proactively track and mitigate RAID items while maintaining delivery metrics and governance dashboards for senior stakeholders.

 

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience: 6–8 years of proven Project Management experience, specifically within the Fintech, Core Banking, or Financial Services sectors.

  • Technical Proficiency: Strong hands-on experience with JIRA and hybrid delivery models is essential.

  • Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management, Business, or a related field. Having a Masters Degree would be an added advantage.

  • Certifications: PMP or Agile certifications (CSM, CSPO, or SAFe) are highly preferred.

  • Soft Skills: The ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments and influence senior stakeholders through structured problem-solving.
