About the Role

We are seeking a structured, detail-oriented Technical Business Analyst with at least 2 years of proven industry experience to join a dynamic software development firm in Colombo.

In this hybrid role, you will serve as the core bridge between technical development teams, UI/UX designers, and business stakeholders. You will translate complex business needs into clear, actionable technical specifications, wireframes, functional workflows, and user stories.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct requirement gathering sessions with clients, product managers, and internal stakeholders.

  • Translate business requirements into comprehensive functional specifications, Software Requirement Specifications (SRS), and user stories with clear acceptance criteria.

  • Utilize Figma at an advanced level to create intuitive wireframes, interactive UI/UX prototypes, system user flows, and mockups.

  • Collaborate closely with software architects and developers to validate technical feasibility, database schemas, and API integration flows.

  • Create process maps, sequence diagrams, and workflow diagrams (UML, BPMN) using tools like Lucidchart or Visio.

  • Manage and refine the product backlog in Jira/Confluence, supporting Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning and grooming.

  • Assist Quality Assurance teams by reviewing test scenarios to ensure end-to-end coverage of business requirements.

 

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience working as a Technical Business Analyst or Systems Analyst in a software engineering environment.

  • Figma Expertise: Advanced proficiency in Figma (component libraries, auto-layout, interactive prototyping, and UI/UX design handoff) is strictly required.

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Business Information Systems, or a related field.

  • Strong technical acumen—ability to understand cloud architectures, API structures (REST/JSON), web/mobile tech stacks, and database relationships.

  • Proven experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery frameworks.

  • Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, and diagramming tools (BPMN/UML).

  • Exceptional communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills in English.
