About the Role

We are seeking a customer-focused Solution Specialist (M365 & Power Platform) based in Sri Lanka to join a premier IT professional services provider in the Australia and New Zealand region. This is a 100% remote, full-time position working in close collaboration with international teams and corporate clients across ANZ.

In this role, you will work alongside senior architects and international delivery teams to co-create solutions that modernize how enterprise organizations work. You will design, build, and deploy custom workplace solutions using SharePoint Online, Power Apps, Power Automate, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Purview, while helping clients adopt Microsoft 365 Copilot and AI agents.

Key Responsibilities

• M365 & Power Platform Delivery: Design, configure, build, and deploy low-code/no-code applications, automated workflows, and intranet portals using SharePoint Online, Power Apps, and Power Automate.

• AI & Copilot Integration: Support Microsoft 365 Copilot readiness reviews, use-case discovery, and basic Copilot Studio agent configurations, ensuring safe and responsible AI usage.

• Information Management & Governance: Design information architectures including metadata schemas, content classifications, access controls, retention/disposal policies, and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) via Microsoft Purview.

• Consultative Co-Design: Engage with business stakeholders to translate functional requirements into pragmatic technical designs, delivering product demonstrations, technical documentation, and user training.

• Modernization & Migrations: Assist with legacy system modernizations and data migrations using industry-standard tools such as ShareGate and AvePoint.

• System Administration & Scripting: Maintain M365 tenant configurations and automate administrative routines using PowerShell scripting.

• Technical Documentation: Produce clear, accurate solution designs, configuration guides, as-built systems documentation, and recommendation reports.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Location & Work Setup: Must be based in Sri Lanka and available for full-time remote alignment with Australian Business Hours (AEST/AEDT).

• Core Technical Experience: 4–5+ years of hands-on technical consulting experience in a commercial environment, demonstrating strong knowledge across SharePoint Online, MS Teams, OneDrive, and Microsoft Purview.

• Power Platform Expertise: Hands-on experience building custom business apps (Power Apps) and workflow automations (Power Automate).

• Scripting & Automation: Proficiency with PowerShell for M365 tenant management, administrative tasks, and script-based deployments.

• Information Governance: Solid understanding of records management principles, permissions, document security, and classification models.

• Communication & Soft Skills: Excellent written and spoken English, with strong presentation skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical client stakeholders.

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.

Good to Have Skills

• Migration & Backup Tools: Practical experience using ShareGate or AvePoint (Fly, Opus, Cloud Governance) for M365 migrations and backups.

• Custom Development: Exposure to SharePoint Framework (SPFx), React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.

• AI & Agentic Workflows: Basic hands-on experience configuring agents in Copilot Studio.

• Certifications: ITIL certification or relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., PL-900, PL-100, MS-600, MS-900).
